Principal Cloud Engineer
Rama is an accomplished engineering and management executive and a thought leader in Cloud Technologies. He has over 15 years’ experience in Search Technologies, Product Development, and Cloud Technologies such as AWS, Google Cloud and OpenStack.
Rama Krishna started his career as a Scientist in India, working in developing sophisticated avionics software for jet aircrafts. After immigrating to the US, he worked for TCSI, a NMS (Network Management Software) designing and developing network systems for one of the earliest global cellular satellite phone system. At TCSI, Rama Krishna excelled in building a great relationship with customers, enhancing TCSI’s relationship with NEC, Japan. Subsequently he worked for Verity/Autonomy, where he led teams managing the validation efforts of enterprise search engines. At Verity he led a team building and designing a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery system, one of the earliest real time integration and deployment system. During his time at Verity, Rama earned his MBA from Santa Clara University. Later, he consulted for Cisco and GE in leadership roles, providing product development guidance and Management Strategy.
Most recently Rama was working for Hewlett Packard Enterprise designing and architecting cloud based Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platform.
At Astra, Rama is leading and architecting the design, development and execution of Astra’s Distributed Virtual Data Center, and its integration with AI and cloud Technologies. Rama is also architecting the blockchain protocol for Astra decentralized storage systems.
Rama Krishna has a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, India and an MBA from Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University. CA.
